Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the Samsung Galaxy Amp 2 to your computer via USB
  2. At the prompt, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the feature from the “notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the audio files on the PC storage and copy the ones you wish to use on your phone
  5. Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” directories under “Media”
  6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray
  7. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, skip the first 3 steps:

  1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac
  2. Visit Kies Support
  3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” and follow the on-screen prompts to install the app on the Mac
  4. Connect the Galaxy Amp 2 to your Mac via USB
  5. At the prompt, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, or enable the options from the “status” area
  6. Launch Kies on the Mac
  7. Click the “Folder” icon associated with “External memory” or “Internal memory”
  8. Open the File Finder on the Mac and locate the desired audio files on the computer
  9. Drag and drop the files in Kies
  10. After the transfer is complete, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it in the “trash can” to eject it
  11. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Add Audio Files to Ringtones:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Open “Settings”
  3. Under “Device”, tap “Sounds & notifications”
  4. Scroll to “Sound” and tap “Ringtones and sounds”
  5. Tap “Ringtone” > “Add ringtone”
  6. Choose “Sound picker” and select to use the app “Just once” or “Always”
  7. Select the desired audio files and tap “Done”

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Open “Settings” and scroll to “Device”
  2. Tap “Sounds & notifications”
  3. Scroll to “Sound”
  4. Tap “Ringtones & sounds”
  5. Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  6. Press “Back” to save the changes

Change the Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set to contacts stored on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Select the desired contact and tap “Edit”
  3. Tap “Ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
  5. Tap “Save” to confirm

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sounds & notifications”
  3. Tap “Ringtones & Sounds”
  4. Select a notification type and select the desired notification sound
  5. Press “Back” to apply the changes
