Use iTunes to Sync iPhone Contacts with Google:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro.
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to your PC using the Lightning cable
- In iTunes, click the iPhone and go to the Info section
- Turn on Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account, or alternatively, click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply and wait for the sync to complete. Once the sync is done, switch to the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro, sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes, and allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been previously backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts and select the contacts to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Wait for the vCard to be downloaded on the PC, and once done, perform one of the following steps:
- Import the vCard via Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro to your computer via USB and transfer the vCard to the phone storage. Next, use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require access to a computer with an active Internet connection, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.
- Open the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup
- Once the backup file containing the contacts is created, tap Email
- Compose a new email and ensure the vCard is attached
- Send the email to your own address and switch to the Samsung device
- Open the email on the Samsung device and download the vCard attachment
- Use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere (Android and iOS) is another third party app you can use for contact transfer. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types cross-platform, without requiring a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Samsung phone
- Open the app on both handsets
- Tap Send on the iPhone, and tap Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and tap Send again
- Lastly, choose a transfer method. You can tap Generate QR Code on the iPhone and scan the code with the Samsung devices camera, or tap Receive on the Galaxy A9 Pro and manually enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone
