Sync iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with a Google account. Then you can sync the account data including contacts with the Samsung phone.
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to your computer using the Lightning cable
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and access Info
- Turn on Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- After the sync is done, switch to the Galaxy J2 Prime and register the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case the contacts on your iPhone have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and click Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard has been downloaded on the PC, follow one of these steps:
- Use the Internet browser on the PC using Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import it to your phonebook using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can transfer your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup
- Wait for the backup file to be created and tap Edit
- Ensure the email contains the vCard attachment and send it to your own address
- Switch to the Samsung device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use on iOS and Android to transfer contacts and other types of files cross-platform without requiring a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Samsung device
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Lastly, choose a transfer method, such as Generate QR Code on the iPhone or Receive on the Samsung device, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
