Sync iPhone Contacts with Google via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Samsung phone.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB using the Lightning cable
- Once connected, click the iPhone in iTunes and access Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the Samsung device and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been previously backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with your account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Access Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and click Settings > Export vCard
- Wait for the vCard to be downloaded on the computer
- Once downloaded, launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup
- Wait for the app to create a vCard backup file and once done, tap Email
- Write a new email and ensure the vCard is attached
- On the Samsung phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Samsung device
- Launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contact
- Tap Send and select the desired transfer method
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
