How-to: Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017): Create and Manage Contacts & Caller Groups

Create a Contact:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “+”
3. Choose to store the contact on “Device”, “SIM card” or to sync it with “Google”
4. Enter the contact’s name, phone number, and other optional details in the appropriate fields
5. Tap “Save” to confirm

Import Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Go to “Settings” > “Import / Export contacts”
4. Tap “Import”
5. Choose to import from “SD Card” or “Device storage”
6. Select to import the contacts to your “Samsung” or “Google” account, or “Phone”

Export Contacts:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
3. Go to “Import/Export contacts”
4. Tap “Export”
5. Choose to export contacts to “SD Card”, “Device storage” or “SIM card”

Add Contacts to Speed Dial:

1. Open “Phone”
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Go to “Speed dial” and select the dial pad number you want to use
4. Tap the contact you want to associate with the dial pad number

Delete a Contact:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Select the contact you want to delete
3. Tap “Menu” > “Delete”
4. Tap “Delete” again to confirm

Create a Caller Group:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Groups”
3. Tap “Create group” and enter the desired name for the group
4. Tap “Create” > “Back” > “Save”

Add Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Select the desired contact
3. Tap “Edit”
4. Go to “Groups”
5. Tick the check boxes next to the desired caller group
6. Tap “Back” > “Save”
