Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can share the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account so that it can sync contacts with the phone
Share iPhone Contacts form an iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in to the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts and select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Samsung phone to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is a third-party app for iOS that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup to create a vCard backup file of your iPhone contacts
- Once the backup file is done, tap Email
- Compose a new email and ensure the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- Switch to the Samsung phone and open the email
- Download the vCard attachment and import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use for transferring contacts without a computer. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring a computer.
- Launch the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Samsung phone
- Launch the app on both devices
- ON the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select the desired transfer method like Generate QR code on the iPhone or Receive on the Android phone
- Follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
