Reset Network Settings:

NOTE: By resetting network settings, all your saved Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections will be deleted. Additionally, network selection mode, data restrictive settings, and background sync settings will be restored to factory values.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “General management”
  3. Tap “Reset” > “Reset network settings”
  4. If your device is protected by a lock screen, enter your PIN/password to proceed
  5. Tap “Reset settings” when ready

Factory Reset

WARNING! When you factory reset your device, all your personal data located on the phone storage will be deleted. This includes media files, ringtones, contacts, apps, downloaded content etc. In addition, all settings will be restored to factory values, however data located on the SIM and SD cards won’t be affected.

Factory Reset via Settings:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Go to “Cloud and accounts”
  3. Tap “Backup and restore”
  4. Optionally, turn “Back up my data” and “Restore” ON or OFF
  5. Then return to “Settings” and access “General Management”
  6. Tap “Reset” > “Factory data reset” > “Reset”
  7. If your phone is protected by a lock screen, enter your password/PIN to proceed
  8. Tap “Continue” > “Delete all”

Factory Reset from Recovery:

NOTE: If your phone crashes, freezes, or otherwise prevents you from resetting it using the method above, you can try resetting the phone using hardware keys from Recovery:

  1. First turn the phone off
  2. Then press and hold “Power” “Volume Up” and the “Bixby”/”Home” button
  3. At the Android screen, release the buttons and wait for up to a minute to access Android Recovery
  4. From recovery, press “Volume down” repeatedly to navigate the menu and highlight “Wipe data/factory reset”
  5. Press “Power” to select the highlight
  6. Then, highlight “Yes – delete all user data” and press “Power”
  7. After the phone resets, ensure “Reboot system now” is highlighted then press “Power” one last time
