Transfer iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data and contacts with the device.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
  3. Click the iPhone in iTunes and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the process completes, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from an iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account
  4. Access “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Follow one of the steps below:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
    • Connect the phone to the PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

Via My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Alternatively you can also use third-party apps to share your iPhone contacts, like My Contacts Backup on iOS, which can be used to back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
  3. Send the vCard to your own email address
  4. On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  5. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.

  1. Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Android device from the Play Store
  3. Open the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” and select the desired contacts
  5. Tap “Send” again and select a transfer method on one of the phones
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
