Clear App Cache/Data:
NOTE: If an app crashes, freezes, takes up too much storage or otherwise doesnt work as intended, you can try solving these issues by clearing the apps cache/data.
WARNING! By clearing an apps data, all your personal data stored within the app will be deleted, including settings, user profiles, save files, login and payment information etc. To avoid losing personal data from the app, clear only the apps cache.
- Open Settings
- Access Apps
- Select the desired app and tap Storage
- Tap Clear data > OK
- If clearing the app data didnt solve the issues, tap Clear cache
Clear the Phones Cache Partition:
NOTE: If your phone crashes, freezes, runs out of storage inexplicably or otherwise doesnt work as intended and youre considering factory resetting it, alternatively you can try fixing these issues by clearing the phones cache partition. This can have similar results to a factory reset without losing personal data from the device.
- Turn the phone Off
- Press and hold Power Volume Up and the Bixby/Home buttons at the same time
- At the Android screen, release the buttons and wait for access to Recovery
- Once there, navigate the menu by pressing Volume down repeatedly and highlight Wipe cache partition
- Press Power to select the highlighted option
- Highlight Yes and press Power again
- After the process completes, highlight Reboot system now and press Power one last time to confirm

Reboot to Safe Mode and Uninstall an App:
NOTE: if a third-party app causes issues and prevents you from removing it from the phone, you should be able to uninstall the app while in Safe Mode. In this mode all third-party apps are disabled by default.
- Turn the phone Off
- Press and hold Power
- At the Samsung logo release Power and immediately press and hold Volume down instead
- Release the buttons once the phone finishes rebooting. A Safe Mode watermark should be shown in the lower area of the home screen
- To remove an app, open Settings then access Apps
- Select the desired app and tap Uninstall two times to confirm
- Once done, reboot the phone normally to exit Safe Mode
