A670 - Telus Mobility: Data Transfer

I've done some poking around, but I'm rather new to this. I've just purchased the A670 and have found a number of programs that enable data transfer between computer and phone via a data cable. However, I've also heard rumours that software hasn't been updated to work with the Canadian version (Telus Mobility providor).

Can anyone verify if a program such as BitPim will work with my phone?

Most of the features of Bitpim will not work with the Telus A670 with the exception of viewing and playing around with the file system. But that's allowed me to load on games, ringtones and wallpapers. Haven't figured out how to transfer contacts yet though. Here's how.
