    my phone is a740..bought my cable thru ebay..no driver
    I guess I should have done much more research before buying

    looks like not much is supported for a740 now?

    i have an X426, i use Samsung PC Studio II PIMS and file manager. should work for u too.

    Samsung's website has helpful software based on your phone, just find downloads for your phone at samsung.com

    an a740 isnt a GPRS enabled phone. Its a 1rxtt phone i belive...

    None of those programs listed above work. Is there a program that actually works with the A740 or am I experiencing operator error? Please help.

    No, as far as I know. In my opinion, Nokia phone is more user friendly in terms of downloading games from PC to phone.

    I've got the a740, too. Hope I'm not gonna have all these problems when I just wanna use it for some musictones.
