    You can't set YOUR own mp3 as ringtones because they do not have DRM(digital Rights management). Fancy way of saying you didn't legally purchase the mp3 file. Either purchase mp3 from T-mobile's website or download from a paid site. In any case i hope you like this phone because I am returning mine.

    change the file extension of the mp3s u want as ringtones to .3gp, copy to the tflash card, save to the phone, file manager search, save as ringtone. voila

    I don't know about all of these mp3 problems. Do what I did and buy a different phone because the samsung t809 is a cool little phone that lacks a lot of features to match its high price. I got a sony z800i from europe and it's awesome cuz you don't have to deal with any of the stupid restrictions like these us phones.

    Go to phone settings>
    USB settings>
    <Mass Storage>

    This will enable your transflash to show up when you hook it to your usb.
    Likewise, Modem will show whats contained on the phone memory when hooked to your usb.

    Hope that helps!
