HELP!!!
I've been trying for a couple of weeks now to download some jar/jad file into my (T-Mobile "to go" [pre-paid] Samsung SGH-495X phone with NO success...

T-mobile BLOCKS access to WAP sites if you have the prepaid service (WHY?)

First, T-Mobile sold me the WRONG serial cable/connect kit. Then, I finally fount the correct one on the web, got it hooked up, loaded the software, and, VOILA, got connected to my phone...
The file manager included in the software (Easy Studio rev 1) does not know about java files, nor will it seem to properly install the modem driver to allow use of the phone as an internet connect - is this installation actually necessary? Theen, according to directions on the web, I downloaded Softick PPP software, and Samsung's 'loader.exe'. Softick PPP says (when the phone is plugged into the serial cable) "1 PPP connection active". I then run 'Uploader.exe' and add a jad file. Enable Serial Java download - #*536963#. At this point I'm really not sure what to do - to get to the next menu, once the phone is displaying "Enable serial Java - disable all others" or some such prompt, the only way I've been able to access the phone's keys to enter (Serial Java menu) #*5737425# is to hit either the cancel key, or the red phone key (which normally turns on and off the phone) - I'm wondering if either of these two keys aborts the 'serial java' mode? Loader.exe refers you to the help or text file included with its download, but the only download I've found includes neither...
Does it matter how the USB setup is done, seeing as how I have neither the usb dll describeed, nor a USB cable?

Anyways, once I've entered #*5737425# any meenu selection does nothing that I can see...
I hope someone out there can tell me where I've gone wrong!
