I hope someone can help me. I let my activation on this phone expire and had to get a new number. But, the idiots at support didn't have the knowledge to help me get my phone set up under my new number. I finally got the proper instructions as to how I can put my new number on the display screen, but that's where it ends. I reported this bunch to the BBB, but I don't have much of a chance of getting this phone corrected after reading the questions from others where STImobile was only able to resolve half the problems. Not a very good track record.

I've contacted these nincompoops several times.

But, If no one can help here, I understand perfectly since the people that is suppose to know something can't even get this thing straightened out. But, I thought I would give it a try.

    So here's my situation:
When I reactivated my phone, the woman at support gave me a number other than the new number that was assigned to me and she quickly corrected herself. But, it was too late and I still have this wrong number because my phone wouldn't take the corrected number although the phone works fine during normal conversation. So I need to change this wrong number to the correct number in "Phone Books/My Phone #. Can you give me advice as to how to change this wrong number to my correct number?

I also need to change my web number to my new number as it still has my original number. I need help getting this changed as well. I have an STImobile Samsung A660 phone and wouldn't have bought it if I knew these people at support didn't know their a**e* from a hole in the ground. Thanks.

I know where this phone is going if I can't get it straightened out and I shouldn't have to turn to forums.

Thanks for any advice you can give me.

I've got nearly the same problem. I need to get my phone number into the new phone that I bought (same model and such), but it's such a hassle since what Sprint told me to do doesn't seem to be working. I figure that if anything, you might be able to send it in to the service provider as they SHOULD pay for it to get fixed. If not the service provider then the company themselves. *Shrugs.*

My problem is more specifically with StiMobile rather than the carrier which is Sprint. I had already done what was suggested to me on other board as if I hadn't already told them of the actions I did. They tell me to get in touch with Sti, blah, blah blah and not report them to the authorities, blah, blah, blah. If they read my posts than they would have not repeated what I said I did.

Anyhow, I did report StiMobile to the BBB of the state they are located in. That's the only way a person can get anything done. But, these businesses that sell these stupid cell phones, don't have enough smarts to get these things straightened out. I found how few problems StiMobile were able to solve on the BBB website. It is incredible how ignorant support is. Just look up the company responsible for your cell phone service and you will probably get your eyes full and swear off these things completely.

    StiMobile! Me!

These cell phone companies have a long ways to go before they get these stupid things perfected, though you would think, for as long as cell phones has been around starting with the big clunky ones of early years, have all the bugs out by now.

I'm going to use up my prepaid card and get rid of this A660. I'm going to get another cell phone, but I'm going to buy it right here in my own town this time, so if the idiots screw up I can take it back to the store and they will either fix it or give me my refund.
