Actually, my question is really focused on the microSD card and how to get music on my phone, which is going to be a Samsung BlackJack (Getting it in a few days). I'm not sure if that was the correct title, or if this is where I should have posted, but I did not know what else to do.

I have not purchased a microSD card yet, but I really just want to clear things up. If I was to buy one so that I could store music on my phone and listen to it, would I need anything else besides the microSD card, such as a card reader or some kind of computer program? I already have the mp3 files on my computer, and I would want to transfer them to my phone.

    Thanks for the help.

You would need to buy an SD card reader to read the microSD card using ur computer. microSD cards come with a microSD-to-SD adapter in the box.

I couldn't just put the microSD card into the phone and connect the phone to my computer with a USB cable?

You could try that first and see if you can transfer the songs using the cable. This might not work as the software may not have access to the microSD card in the device.

if you can connect it via usb I will say that most of the time two windows will show up. One, the phone, the other the card

provided you are not using mac.

you can't even sync the calendar or contacts, i had to pull my pc that i have not used in years, out of my basement, connect all the cables, just so i could upload my contacts. freagn bs. my razr syncs beautifully with mac, so so easy. the blackjack fails at the simplest tasks, someone has already written a patch, charging $40 for the software(called, "missing sync" for mac), that works really well, and samsung still has no updates for their mac customers. stupid, just stupid. its getting returned just as soon as the iphone is out or i might just go with a blackberry, great reviews all around, and completely compatible with mac, or at least with what i need them to be compatible with.

for something that only took 3 minutes to do when i first got my razr, managed to take a good 3 hours on the blackjack. the phone is pretty neat, just not compatible with stuff. maybe thats why all the refurbs are being sold on cingular.com

the bluetooth will pair, however no features are available, only modem. so, you can use the phone as a modem via bluetooth with mac(unless you want to pay for a third party software, that should be included) and thats it, no file transfer, no calendar with three months of scheduling can be synced, nothing. and the third party software isn't exactly solid atm.

and the connectivity is stupid, they make earbuds, only one pair, and no aux jack, the same freakn thing, but they just are not making an aux cable available. samsung put a "new" type of plug on the phone. could have used a common data cable just like the common plug used on usb hubs, razrs, a lot of other stuff.

the blackjack will unnecessarily nickel and dime the buyer on top of stuff your going to have to buy anyway(that makes sense) like a microsd.
