using bluetooth between phones

I just added my son to my AT&T cell plan. He wanted the Samsung A437. I have a Razr V3xx. (I have been able to do this many times with friends and my other son) We wanted to bluetooth ringtones to him but I can NOT get either phone to recognize the other. Can anyone tell me if this is even possible and if it is how the heck do I do it?

You have to put one of the phones in discoverable mode and have the other search for it. The phone stays in discoverable mode only for a minute or so. Use the same PIN on both phones when prompted. Some phones require you to turn off a connected Bluetooth headset before they will connect to another Bluetooth device.

and keep in mind that his phone may not support bluetooth file transfers.

yep... i heard one of my friends talking about the same problem with his phone... don worry I'll ask him how did he solved it out and later let you know
