Have a Samsung cell phone, model SCH-r500 and am wanting to transfer photos to my home PC, is there a USB cable out there that will allow me to attach the phone directly to my PC and transfer these photos?

This phone supports a microsd card. It would be easier to put photos on that with a card reader and then pop the card in the phone. Before doing that though you should format the card in the phone. They may be a 'photos' folder that you have to put them in for the phone to see them.

Photos are in a folder on my phone now, if I want to transfer them to my home PC, you are saying to put them on the microsd card that plugs into my phone. Can the card be plugged into a USB port on my home PC, then moved to my home PC hard drive?

I too have the same phone. By the looks of it. A microSD card is a good thing to have. A lot of computers have a media center built into the computer already, and you can easy put them into Kodak machines where ever they are available. If your computer does not have a media center, (which is usually at the front part of a computer) it would be best to just by a usb cord that is available for the Samsung SCH-r500. I hope this answers your question.
