Hi,
I have a Samsung Tocco Lite GT-S5230 which belongs to my daughter. It was originally purchased unlocked in Britain, but we now live in France where I want to use it with my provider SFR.
Unfortunately she has forgotten the user lock code. Since it's not network locked, all I want to do is reset it to factory settings. I don't have a compatible USB cable for it either, though I may buy one so that I can transfer files faster.
Anyway, the story is, I power it up with or without a SIM, and it will accept up to 8 characters composed only of digits and the * character; not the #. I have tried the obvious ones: four zeros, eight zeros and the last four characters of both my daughter's previous phone number, and my own new number. All I get is a message 'Invalid SIM code'.
Waaah!
Please help.

I have the same problem. Does anyone know how to unlock and reset the password code?
