I have a Samsung Caliber phone and the ring only lasts about 20 seconds. I know in the past with previous phones there was an internal programming code that would allow you to increase the ring duration before the call went to VM. Does the Samsung Caliber possess the same code?

I'm not sure, I'm just gonna repeat what I read from another forum:
Convert the audio to wmp and use 96bit instead of 128. This should give a little bit of more time in a ringtone without loosing too much of the sound quality.
I have yet to try this method, if by any chance you get to try it before I do, post results.

That's weird. Is this a default ringing period?

    Re: Longer Ring Duration.

What's going with this cellphones is that anything larger than 300kb it is consider as a music or song, so as you can see you have to choices for creating a ringtone for this type of phone:
    1. Lowering to 96 bit so that you can have at least 300kb of song but that it could last a little bit longer, instead of having a ringtone with 300kb and last only 18 seconds, by lowering to 96 bits it may last maybe some 22 or 25 seconds.
    2. Using the same 128 bits and trim the ringtone, so you end up with the ringtone of your choice but it will only last like 18 seconds.
I will try something else and if it works I'll post it.
