Downloading pictures

Hi, I have a Samsung model number SPH-M910 touch screen. I am using Virgin mobile. My question is sometimes my friends send me pictures and I have to click download. But when it's done downloading nothing happens there's no picture & I can't find a picture in my gallery. Unless I'm looking in the wrong place. What's going on why can't I download/open this picture? Thanks, Genevive

depending on the type of phone and service the picture was sent from the encoding and decoding of the message can get mis-matched. There's nothing you can really do other than ask your friends to send the message again.
