Why is it that CDMA has a lower resale value then GSM. This is in all phones I have seen... Because of this I am happy because I own i747 But an AT&T SIII is worth more then Sprint and Verizon.... Please explain?

Re: Samsung Galaxy SIII: CDMA and GSM
this is because the GSM versions of the GS3 are able to be unlocked and used on other networks more easily. You can still use a Verizon GS3 on other networks, they just have to be rooted to use MMS and data (to change the APN settings). Most people don't realize this though.

I agree with tavenger5. But addition to that, I also think there are more GSM users than CDMA. I might be wrong though.

Re: Samsung Galaxy SIII: CDMA and GSM
GSM phones being unlocked definitely matters.
I think the fact that GSM is more of a globally used network also factors into the price since there is a larger global demand for GSM phones.
CDMA, i believe, is more of an American based network. Please someone correct me if i am wrong.Last edited by Sam Gal; 04-14-2013 at 04:54 PM. Reason: remove signature
