Wi-Fi Management
Enabling Wi-Fi:
- While on the home screen, press the "Menu" key on your device
- Select "Settings"
- Tap the "Wi-Fi Switch" to enable or disable Wi-Fi
Scanning and Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network:
- From the home screen, press the "Menu" key on your device
- Select "Settings"
- Make sure that Wi-Fi is enabled
- Tap "Wi-Fi" (the text itself, not the switch)
- Tap "Scan" if necessary, or wait for the auto-scanning process to complete
- Select the Wi-Fi network that you wish to connect to
- If prompted, enter the password of the previously selected Wi-Fi network
- Tap "Connect"
Deleting a Wi-Fi Network Profile:
- Press the "Menu" key while on the home screen
- Select "Settings"
- If necessary, enable Wi-Fi by tapping the switch into the "On" position
- Tap "Wi-Fi" (the text itself)
- Tap and hold the Wi-Fi network that you wish to delete / forget
- Select "Forget network"
Bluetooth Management
Enabling / Disabling Bluetooth:
- While on the home screen, press the "Menu" button on your device
- Select "Settings"
- Tap the switch next to "Bluetooth" to enable or disable Bluetooth connectivity
Pair With a Bluetooth Device:
- Press the "Menu" button while on the home screen
- Tap "Settings"
- Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled. If not, tap the switch associated with Bluetooth and bring it in the "On" position
- Press "Bluetooth" (the text itself, not the aforementioned switch)
- Under "Available devices" select the device that you wish to pair with. If the device is not shown in the list, press "Scan"
- If prompted (after selecting the desired device), enter the pairing passcode. By default, the passcode is usually "1234" or "0000"
- 7 If necessary, enter the passcode on the second device
GPS Management
Enabling GPS:
- While on the home screen, press the "Menu" button
- Go to "Settings" and select "Location services"
- Tap the checkbox associated with "Use GPS satellite" in order to enable or disable GPS
Data Roaming
Enabling / Disabling Data Roaming:
- On the home screen, tap the "Menu" key
- Select "Settings"
- Tap "More settings"
- Select "Mobile networks"
- Tap the checkbox associated with "Data roaming" to enable or disable this feature
Emergency Alerts
Enabling or disabling Emergency alerts:
- Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
- Select "Messaging"
- Press the "Menu" key on your device
- Select "Settings"
- Tap "Emergency alerts"
- Enable or disable the following alert types:
- Imminent extreme alert
- Imminent severe alert
- AMBER alerts
Note: Presidential alerts cannot be disabled
