Hello. This is an Samsung S4.
I don't have any external cards but can I import an Thunderbird address list some how from an LDIF file, or an HTML contact list? I've been Goggling this all night, no luck.

    Is this possible via Bluetooth?

    Advanced Thanks

Are you trying to merge the emails with your existing contacts?

Re: Importing Thunderbird email contact list to pop3 account

Hello tavenger5. Yes, I thought maybe I could do an export in Thunderbird and somehow import the file into the phone for just the emails. I seen something the other day that said you could use Samsung Kies 3 to import the contacts, but when I loaded it, I didn't see the option to import emails which I'm assuming has to be converted in some way to deal with the way the mail clients format their exported contact lists. The Thunderbird export options are:
    • LDIF
    • Comma Separated
    • Tab Delimited

However, I was thinking it might be better for me to enter all the emails manually because many of my email contacts are not updated with correct names and it might just mess up the names in my phone contacts. So I spent about 30 mins last night and entered all the contacts by hand. Then I did a phone backup to my drive using Samsung Kies 3.
By the way, there was a firmware update but I didn't want to chance it because there was nothing prompting me to backup the current firmware. Maybe the option shows up when you actually run the update, but I didn't want to take a chance on that.
