I would say this is a pretty decent film overall. It has many pros, mainly which being filled with fan-pleasing moments that highly impressed me, which I would love to get more into detail on, but am limited to in order to avoid revealing any spoilers.

It is clear that J. J. Abrams has done as much as he could to satisfy the fans. Other major pros include it’s satisfying ending, action sequences, special effects, humor, score (as expected), emotion and the acting and chemistry between the cast members. The action sequences and special effects were executed well throughout the movie, which was expected, coming from a movie directed by a filmmaker who’s well known for sci-fi movies. It is also a very thought provoking movie, as there is a lot in this movie to process, and that’s always the fun part in any movie, discussing with friends and family and coming up with interesting theories.

However, it is not a perfect film due to its presence of a few cons, the main one in my opinion is that some parts of the movie were somewhat predictable, its plot holes (which again I’d love to talk about but will not to avoid revealing any spoilers) and some parts felt a little rushed, but in my opinion, these cons do not affect the movie in a way that outnumbers its pros. But all that being said, my final verdict; this movie is made for the fans, including those, like me, who weren’t happy with The Last Jedi. I understand that a good movie can please all audiences, which is why this movie is not perfect, but it is still a good one, take it from a person who’s been a Star Wars fan for as long as he can remember.

A good conclusion to the Skywalker Saga. Of course, it doesn’t live up to Empire Strikes Back or The Force Awakens, but Give this movie a watch and let yourselves be your own judge on the movie without reading critic reviews only, no disrespect to critics, we all have our own tastes and opinions. Hope this review is helpful.

At first, I really was gonna hate this film from the beginning. However, once I got to watching it more, it actually started to get more interesting, such as Rey's new powers and family reveals. Obviously, this leads to very weird concepts such as Palpatine having a wife, but it does explain a lot of the movie, albeit should have been episode 8 instead, now THAT was atrocious.

The movie itself didn't have many dull moments, and even though some scenes were not great, such as Rey not embracing her family name and how Palpatine was defeated so quickly (then again EVERY Jedi was pouring his/her power into Rey, and Yoda and Windu's power combined could defeat Sidious so...), there were many things fixed:

Luke embraces his lightsaber, Kylo is actually much stronger than Rey, Palpatine was very close to death (just look at him in the movie he looked almost as old as dirt) which meant Anakin did have an impact by causing Palpatine to go into hiding for decades, C-3PO actually does have a near-tearful moment, Leia uses the force to stop Kylo from killing Rey just like Luke despite the fact that she has lost most of her family, etc.

Despite the many plotholes and some events that could be tweaked, this was a solid movie, and out a 10 scale, I'd put a 7-8/10.

The latest addition to the Star Wars Franchise. In 1977, Star Wars was released in theaters. Since then, Star Wars has made a lot of money at the box office. Now, The 9 chapter Skywalker has come to a close. Will this film take the now finished Skywalker Saga up to the force, or will it take it down to the dark side. Well, let's find out!

The Story

The story is that Rey needs to stop the surprisingly living Emperor Palpatine from creating a new breed of sith with the help of supreme leader, Kylo Ren. The story has a lot of surprises. This film has many stunning twists and turns and of course, action(I'll talk about the action later.). This film has the best action out of all of the sequel trilogy's films. So overall, the film's story is very dang good.

The characters

The characters are very stunning to see this time around. Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver are still Rey(the hero), Finn(the sidekick), Poe Dameron(the pilot), and Kylo Ren(the villain), and Kelly Marie Tran, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, and Mark Hamil are still Rose, Princess Leia, C-3PO(the resistance against the first order), and Luke(the mentor), but some new characters include Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian, Naomi Ackie as Jannah, Kerri Russel as Zori Bliss, and the new droid, D-0. The characters are very colorful and fun to watch on screen.

The Action and Visual effects

Star Wars is full of action, and it's no surprise that this film has action. The lightsaber fights are straight-up awesome, and this film has one of the best dogfights of all time. What about the visuals? Unlike the controversial Star Wars special edition effects, these are stunning to look at. From the TIE Fighters to the X-wings, these effects are super stunning. R2D2, BB8, Chewbacca, and D-0 are completely CG, and they look great to look at. Overall, the visuals earn a 10/10 in my book.

Overview

Well, this film is indeed the worthy conclusion to the Skywalker Saga and this saga will remain in our hearts for years to come. And I'm not giving you any details about the movie, you have to go see it to live the experience. This film truly deserves to be mentioned by many who love Star Wars, and I don't care who doesn't love it. If you are interested in seeing this film and the Skywalker Saga as a whole, please take the time and watch the film. I praise the saga for years to come. 10/10
