TheUnlockShack, com site is a complete scam. I paid $6 and waited forever for a code to unlock my Samsung Exhibit 2. No code or refund and absolute no customer service. I got suspicious so went back and entered a fictitious model and fake IMEI it still returned saying they can get code. What a BS!

Re: theunlockshack
I am in the same boat. I purchased an unlock code, within 2 days I received an email that they couldn't generate the unlock code and refund would be issued within 7 days. It's well past that and now I'm trying to get my money back.
First off, avoid this vendor if possible, because they can't deliver what they promise nor can they properly handle a refund (I'm giving them the benefit that it's not a complete scam).
In terms of getting your money back, the payment is actually handled through a third-party called DalPay so I'm disputing the payment through them. If that doesn't get me anywhere, then I'm getting a charge back from my credit card company.
Keep all the emails you get from them and don't just let them take your money. There are options out there, especially if you used a credit card from a reputable company to pay. I'll post back and let you know if I eventually get my money back.

Re: theunlockshack
My well documented complaint and the threat of a charge back through DalPay did it. TheUnlockShack finally responded and within a couple of days the refund came through. All that work to get back $6. I ended up unlocking with canadagsm which is $40, but it worked as promised.

Re: theunlockshack
theunlockshack.com is totally a scam which is run by some guy name Jay the motherf_ck_r. Who scammed me by charging $6.25 for unlocking code which I never got. This website is smart in advertising through google adwords and scam people by offering low prices.
Beware of TheUnlockShack - Unlock Sony, Samsung, HTC, Blackberry, Nokia and more.

Re: theunlockshack
What kind of website is this in general and why did you decide that investing money in an obscure website is a good idea?
