The question is if one from their pc can dial in to a p800 phone (which can be used as a modem to dial out) and receive the call and display the image at the location.

    To be more specific

allarm trigers due to alarm trigered by thief
    cam on location captures image
    computers dials up to p800
p800 recognizes data call and automatic receives call, plays tune and displays cam images received

i know gprs should be a solution but in our island there is no GPRS yet, also the system should be that it warns you that the signal is coming in.

Have been searching the net but not found a solution till now

i found a software which promotes to view your home cam from your p800, however it does not in the method subscribed above

    any idees?

There's no obvious reason why this shouldn't be possible, at least using GPRS. Also, with the Symbian OS, those phones should be capable of accepting data calls and possibly even make an IP connection... the easiest solution would probably be sending emails via GPRS, with pictures attached.

As far as I know, no such solution is out there, and with the limited audience, I doubt it'll be commercially available anytime soon. Look on sourceforge to see if someone had this idea and programmed it.
