How-to: Sony Xperia R1 Plus: Manage Contacts & Caller Groups; Clear the Call Log

Create a Contact:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Go to “All contacts”
3. Tap “+” and select an account with which to sync the contact, or select a different storing method
4. Add the contact’s phone number, name, and other optional details in the appropriate fields
5. Tap “Done”

Import/Export Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Select “Import from Storage”, “Import from SIM” or “Export to storage”
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process

Add Contacts to Speed Dial:

1. Tap and hold an empty area on the home screen
2. Access “Widgets”
3. Drag and drop the “Direct Dial” widgets over an empty area on the home screen
4. When prompted, select the contact you want to associate with the widget

NOTE: You can add multiple Direct Dial widgets for additional contacts on the home screen by repeating the steps above. Additionally, you can place these widgets in folders on the home screen by dragging and dropping one over another.

Delete a Contact:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Access “All contacts”
3. Select the contact you want to remove and tap “Edit”
4. Press “Menu” > “Delete”
5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Reset the Call Log:

1. Open “Phone” and tap “Menu”
2. Access “Call history”
3. Select an entry to view more details about it
4. To reset the call log, tap “Menu” > “Call history” > “Clear call history”

Create a New Caller Group:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Access “All contacts”
3. Select the contact you want to use for creating the caller group
4. Tap “Create new group” and enter the desired group name
5. Press “OK” to confirm

Assign Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Access “All contacts”
3. Select the contact you want to add to the group
4. Tap “Edit” > “More Fields” > “Group name”
5. Select the desired group and tap “OK”
