Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an Internet connection you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the PC
  3. Click the iPhone and go to “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. After the sync is done, switch to the Android device and log in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account
  4. Access “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share
  6. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  7. After the vCard is downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook using Google Contacts or:
    • Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can be used to back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Tap “Email” and make sure the vCard is attached
  4. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  5. On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Import the vCard to the phonebook using “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third-party app you can use on iOS and Android is Send Anywhere. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without requiring a PC.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Install the app on the Android device via the Play Store
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
