That is unfortunate, but you will not be able to use that phone until the account it was tied to is completely paid. There is no way around it, sorry.

You might be able to get a phone inexpensively on ebay, but make sure you get the ESN from the seller and call Sprint to make sure the phone you're buying is clear for activation or you might have the same problem again.

Also, does your sister know if she doesn't pay Sprint it's going to tarnish her credit and she won't be able to get loans or credit cards and if she ever signs up for a new contract with ANY service provider they will see the unpaid Sprint bill and charge a very large security deposit.

    Hey brad...

i know "someone" who owes verizon 1500 dollars because their boyfriend was in prison and called collect MANY times a day and then they went to verizon and got APPROVED for a cell phone and then owed 500.00 with them on that, and then went to sprint who gave them a phone and went to tmobile and got a phone, and has had 2 phones with 2 other companys since, with NO deposit.. and they owe Talk America 200.00 for a phone bill AND IDT 100.00 for a phone bill collect calls.. =)

Renée, it's true scammers and cheats, can do a lot of things that honest people can't.
And playing the fast and loose, round robin game with phone companies, is something a lot of people get away with.

They must have done it all in a hurry before it showed up on their credit report. A lot of companies wait a while before they turn it over to their collection dept., but once they do, that person will never be able to get approved for any kind of credit. I hope their car continues to run for a long time, because nobody will ever sell them another unless they have cash in hand. Mortgage? Forget it. Bank loan? They will laughed at right in their face.

So, are you saying you're proud to be a thief??

You owe all kinds of money to several businesses, and yet you post all these complaints about how they treat you ?? WTF??
Would you like some cheese with that whine?
