When will Sprint rip-off the SLVR?

HI!

I am a Sprint user since back in the day. Their service is the only one that gives me full bars in my apartment - I like the quality of the calls on sprint - never static-y like cingular or verizon.

I have an old SCP-6000. I like it cause it's thin and light and a candy-bar style phone. I HATE FLIP PHONES.

Why is it all sprint offers now are flip phones? Why are all the cool phones on all the other services? Seriously Sprint has THE WORST looking phones. Yay I can upgrade to a clunky clamshell phone YAY!

My main question here is, I have seen Sprint has ripped off the Razr with the A900, so when will they rip off the SLVR? Cause it that's coming soon I'll wait. I am DYING for a solid BAR STYLE phone on Sprint!!!!!!!!!

Wow, it looks like Sprint doesn't have much selection for those who prefer the bar-style phones. This link is what I found for available and upcoming models, but have you considered the slide phones as an alternative? They seem pretty cool, but I understand how it is being dead-set on a particular style of phone. I'm a lover of flip phones myself, and also determined to have an analog band on my phone until the FCC de-regulates AMPS, which is now less than 2 years away (March 1, 2008). I have looked at the Samsung A800 (slide phone, sorta like a bar?) in the Sprint Store and thought it was a pretty nice, solid constructed phone. But, I'm afraid I haven't heard of any new bar phones coming out for Sprint that aren't in the above phone finder result.

Thanks for the info - I've seen your replies around here are real good. The clown scares me. That's from Stephen King's "IT" wasn't it? That tv thing scared me. That clown is wacked. But thanks for the info - I've read your other posts and found the Sprint Katana that way - even if I hate clamshels I may wait for this one so at least I hate the latest and the greatest and not some razr-ripoff.

I'd like you to know you're not the first to complain about Pennywise the clown, but you are the last. I took your concerns into serious consideration and got rid of the mean ol' clown. He was creeping out a couple of my friends, too. Thanks for letting me know.
