Can't make calls, can't text or receive text, can only receive calls. Can't get into my settings

Need help. My son's new straight talk will only allow him to receive calls. He can't get into his phone to check his settings, make a call, type or receive text. We believe something got pressed after he unlocked it for a moment to check it and the put it in his pocket. We know how sensitive the touchscreen can be, is there a way to unlock it?
