T-Mobile Take Control Plan

Today I went to the local Wal-Mart Connection Center to see about getting me a contract with T-Mobile. I turned 18 last November so I know I have no credit and that I would probably would need to put down a deposit. First thing I asked the sales person was how much would my deposit be? She did a credit check and said that they have approved me for 1 line no deposit with their Take Control plan. I didn't even know T-Mobile offered such plans. I looked it over and discovered that its pre-paid with a contract but includes the unlimited night/weekend. I told them that for now I would have to think about it. What I am trying to find out is if I was to go ahead and sign up for it and always money in the bank for the bill and kept with them for the 1 year contract term, when the contract is up will they be more willing to let me sign up for a better plan that is not Take Control or will it still just depend on what my credit looks like IF it gets any better by then...

verizon has no contract, with unlimited/nites and weekends, free mobile to mobile and the minutes are like this, for 50 dollars u get 1000 minutes.. which to me, is the same as a plan without the contract.. this was offered to me about 6 months ago... u mite wanna look into that.. if u wanna go prepaid..

What I was wanting to do was sign up with a contract and be able to add features like txting. But with their Take Control plans any txting that is sent out takes away from minutes. When you run out of minutes you can either add more by buying a To Go refil card or wait till your next month starts. I don't understand why bother signing a contract when this seems to be the same method that Cingular uses with their Go phones... Unless by going through a contract it will help with credit and enable me to sign up for something better after the year. Also I wonder if I go to a real T-Mobile store if they would offer me something different or just give me the same offer...

I did try to find this out for you and came up with nothing. You might have better luck going into a Tmobile store in your area and asking about their prepaid phone services. All of the prepaid i have heard about uses the same method, they take your text messaging away from your minutes. Good Luck!! If i can help you any further, let me know! ( PM me anytime)

The Take Control is a thing that not too many T-Mobile people know about. It is only being offered in 4 different markets. Austin, TX and Philladelphia, PA are the only 2 that I know of. And that is all I seem to know about Take Control. You'd be way better off going to a T-Mobile corporately owned retail store. They will be able to assist you, especially a store in a Take Control market. I'm in Chicago and they have told us that we won't be getting Take Control over here. Sorry, wish I could answer your questions.

Take Control, or Smart Access would only stay on the acct for 1 year with good payer means pay on time without missing payment every once other months. It happens to people who have no to low risk credit or scores other than this there'll be sec dep. You only have 2 options either Contract or To Go and theres no prepaid with contract, basically under post pay, you'll be billed anything that goes to ur invoice bill than pay in advance for any in use with T-Mobile svc.

T-Mobile have better plan than VZW do but I think its about equal cuz of coverage is still at large or anywhere in US almost, but T-Mobile offer unlimited any message anywhere for one of price unlikely other than provider has.

I sell the Take Control plan for the Dallas market and it isn't a bad deal. It is for customers who haven't much credit history or who's credit history isn't very good. T-Mobile only approves you for 3 plans as of right now: $29.99/mo. 300 anytime min. and Unl. Weekends, $39.99/mo. 600 min. Unl. Nghts & Weekends, and $39.99/mo. 1500 anytime min. no Unl. nights or weekends.
Now the Take Control is a $4.99/mo. extra charge which can be waived if you do the EasyPay, which is funds credited from a bank account every month. Once you have T-Mobile for 1 year then they will let get out of Smart Access and the Take Control plan and on to a regular account, which means you would be able to increase your minutes and take off the $4.99/mo. extra charge. Remember you don't have to do the EasyPay if you don't want to, but it will save you $5 a month.
