Unlock moto Razr V3

I am new here and would love to know how to unlock a Razr V3,my husband bought one for me at a yard sale the ppl told him it would work,but when he got home & I put my sim card in it all it does is "enter subsidy password" it has TMobile printed on the back,and my provider is Unicel.Can you please help me? He gave $50 for this phone and unless I can use it,that's money flushed. I'm afraid to try the paid places to have it done,because I ahve already read sometimes they don't work.

There's only two ways I've used to unlock one
1. Call T-mobile (But you have to be a customer)
2. Ask around in the local mall to one of the guys selling service if they know anyone that does it

If you really want the phone, take it to an unlocked store. I used one local to me, and paid them 50 buck to unlock a phone. They said it would be 2 days. They called 2 days later and told me they could not unlock it, and gave me the money back. You should be fine getting it unlocked, but just make sure they will give you the money back if it happens to not work.

Your other options were set above, Asking T-Mobile or around at the mall, or you can try selling it on E-bay or Craigslist if its not that important to you, but thats just me.
