Reading some discussions on here I thought this add-on to my voice account
would be useful. Not I mean the Pro version £8.50 + VAT and limited to 2G
    usage.

Anyone know much about this.? CS suggest its only available to business
    customers :-(.

It also seems to exclude messaging services ie would that mean MSN?

    Thanks

    Tony

I was told that it could be added to anything apart from PAYG and U-fix
but that it doesn't fully launch until May 1st. Apparently it will be
possible to add it from "My T-mobile" then: I've checked and that wasn't
possible a couple of days ago.

Some people have added it to non business accounts by ringing CS others
have received the "business customers only" line.

That's a bit silly because it will mean that they'll be denying
themselves the extra revenue from consumers many of whom will end up
ignoring the no laptops rule on the consumer tariff.

I've just got it but untill its up and running on my 3g phone (not yet
received) I've no idea what I've bought!!!!!!

If it aint 3G its going back!.

Reading between the lines it seems something else might be introduced at the
end of May - though I don't know if T-mobile themselves know what that might
    be

Didn't T-Mobile say they were announcing new devices at the beginning of
June? Hope the MDA Vario II is one of the new devices. Don't know if
they'll introduce the Sony Ericsson P990i. My Vodafone contract runs out
at the end of May so would be good timing.

Wow. Yes. If you read my other thread I have the vario - which I cant get to
    work on wifi.

I am waiting to upgrade to the MDA Pro. But I think I'll cancel.
I'm not going to lug around the Pro with 3g of I can use the Vario II with
    3g.

There is a registry hack which might help and possibly use of
alternative firmware on vaious forums though that might make cancelling
    trickier :-)

I'm tempted by the MDA Pro myself but it is a bit big as you say. I'm
keeping with SIM only for now and waiting to see what offers are around.

I'm stuck with 2.5G GPRS though and I'd like to try 3G. Can anyone
recommend a cheap but not too nasty 3G handset which can be used as
modem and which can be easily unlocked?

    Steve.

    Reading several sources, eg

    http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=2945

I doubt that the VII will be introduced in May ,
however I'd buy it "sim free" if it was.

Yeah, I have the MDA Pro on O2, and it's a lovely device, but it's
getting kicked to the kerb when the Hermes/ Vario II is out.

I'm in two minds about my next phone at the moment - it'll either be a
Vario II or a SE P990i. Which ever comes out first really.

That's Web n Walk isn't it, not Web n Walk PRO.

To my mind, there's no comparison. A Winodows Mobile Device will be
10 times more effective for me, software-wise.

Probably as accurate as the previous 17th April rumoured announcement
for also a bank holiday. Things really started the next day.

Judging by them not taking down the 25% off stuff either it has probably
    not been updated yet.

I think someone ought to get T-mobile leaks department a calendar :-)

    Steve.

be for businesses acording to CS? Hope your info is correct though - would
    be useful!
