    Again, surely if you send *#10# and get a balance, it cannot be on a
    'phone that is to be cut off.
    All on Easylife &c. will give "Not allowed".
    (I cannot remember what contract tariffs will give, and am now unable
    to check.)

    That's right, last of the c12/13 went on the current network credit system.
    Cellnet did a quiet changed over

    *#10# will reveal which you are on
