Has anyone been able to do web browsing using Page Plus Cellular? Would
like to hear what kind of phone you are using to do it, what is
recommended, etc. I need to check ebay auction prices on the fly.
Anyone notice that you haven't been able to log on to your Page Plus
account on their web page for some time? Seems to be permanently kaput,

I doubt seriously you will be able to use mobile web with Page Plus.
To enable mobile web, you have to request it using the phone's
browser. Verizon knows the second it is enabled and how
long your sessions are.
My Dad has a post paid plan with Verizon. His LG flip
phone supports mobile web, but that is an option he does
not subscribe to. He is able to use it to visit the
Verizon Wireless website to check his account
information for free.
I am sure Verizon has their mobile web function permanently
disabled with all reseller prepaid companies like Page Plus.
I just found out about a prepaid company that uses
the Verizon network that allows web access from
an earlier post:

YES! Web Browsing Is Possible with Page Plus Cellular!
ABSOLUTELY WEB BROWSING IS POSSIBLE WITH PAGE PLUS. You must use an HTML browser like a smartphone or pda uses. The mobile web browser on many verizon phones is tied to Verizon's subscription internet service and requires a payment. Page plus is full Verizon 3G which requires a browser such as opera mini, blackberry or internet explorer. I use a Blackberry with Opera mini and it blazes faster than anything I ever saw on a cell phone. Full Verizon 3G speeds. Page plus rocks!

Re: Is Web Browsing Possible with Page Plus Cellular?
So AirAmerica, or anyone:
Using my BlackBerry 8530, the Hotspot browser, trying to browse the web I'm promted for a wifi connection, with no other choices.
What am I overlooking? Every URL attempt returns a message 'This is a Wi-Fi service...' I have the 'Data Services' set to 'On' in the BB's Manage Connections.
Will the Opera Mini 4 solve this?
I just had a Moto Q9M on PPC, it browsed without hesitation.
Any assistance appreciated.

Re: Is Web Browsing Possible with Page Plus Cellular?
I had installed Opera and Bolt but could not find them.
They were in the Downloads folder in the BlackBerry.
They both work perfectly.
Thanks
