Re: Best Apps
Have you heard about PocketStreamer? I just read its review after searching PocketPC Thoughts store for a good multipurpose app.
Check it out here on pocketpc thoughts store.
PocketStreamer Pro - LIVE TV, radio, music, news and weather - Entertainment Windows Mobile Software
It seems to be nice add on for my HTC Touch-Diamond recently bought from pressdigital.
It seems to be cheaper than PocketExpress. I think PocketExpress is subscription based, isn't it?

Re: Best Apps
There's 2 versions of PocketExpress. The free version offers Travel, News, Weather & Sports scores and news.
You have to pay for the travel tile and mobilecierge(which you can call to find anything)..

New to mobile apps
Well, so I'm learning that what makes Pocket Express special is the quick synchronization and management of data. Strangely, this is not to be taken for granted. wireless web experiences seem to be slow, and lots of extra stuff seems to get downloaded. The simple process of managingthis process effectively makes it different.

Re: Best Apps
The trend also seems to be towards freeness within Pocket Express. They have a fine mapping function that seems to rely on some GPS functions in some cases. Sweet.

Re: Best Apps
I go back and forth on the browser vs. app question. I agree that Opera has made browsing a much better mobile experience. However, I still think Pocket Express has the edge, now that it's free and all.
