Another new Dell phone has been announced and it's the Dell Lightning, which runs Windows Phone 7 and it has a portrait sliding QWERTY keyboard. As you can see, the Dell Lightning is a very thin phone that features: a 4.1 inches WVGA OLED touchscreen display, 3G (for both AT&T and T-Mobile), Wi-Fi, GPS, compass, accelerometer, 1GB of ROM, 512MB of RAM, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and a 5MP camera with autofocus.

The expected launch date of the Dell Lightning is around the fourth quarter of 2010. It will come with full Flash support and with an LTE version launching in the fourth quarter of 2011.

Re: Dell Lightening Windows Phone 7

This morning we wrote about three new Dell Android devices that are due to launch late this year and next year.

The next smartphone we hear of (leaked from Dell) is the Dell Lightning. The Lightning is a Windows Phone 7 device that is a portrait slider. Inside a 1GHz QSD8250 Snapdragon processor is to be found. The screen measures 4.1 inches and is a WVGA format. The screen is OLED.

The Dell Lightning has a 5 megapixel camera that can auto focus. Memory wise it has 1GB of flash, 512MB RAM and 8GB of storage built in that due to Windows Phone 7 requirements will be non user changeable.

A GPS can be found inside along with a compass, FM Radio, accelerometer and from what we hear, it will fully support Flash.

It is expected that the Dell Lightning will launch this year in Q4 along with Microsoft [MSFT] launching Windows Phone 7.

It's an impressive looking phone and one we are certainly looking forwards to testing out when it eventually arrives late this year.
