As you may have already learned by now, earlier today Nokia has held an event in Abu Dhabi, where the Finnish manufacturer has unveiled a handful of new smartphones. The star of the show has been the fabled Lumia 1520, which is a 6 inch Windows Phone-powered phablet boasting a large 6 inch display and a powerful, top-tier Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor. However, with that extra power comes a larger price-tag, but fortunately Nokia seems to have covered all the market segments, and has announced a budget-friendly alternative to the 1520 as well.

In other words, the company in question has lifted the veil on the Lumia 1320, which is a 6 inch Windows Phone smartphone that will come with a smaller price tag.

Spec-wise, the Lumia 1320 arrives with a 6 inch IPS LCD display boasting a resolution of 720 x 1280, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz, and 1 GB of RAM. There are 8 GB of internal storage, but the user can expand with the use of a microSD card slot. On the back panel, the 1320 features a very toned-down 5 MP main camera, which pales in comparison with the Lumia 1520's 20.7 MP PureView sensor. Fortunately, the 1320 borrows the same 3,400 mAh battery from its powerful sibling, and arrives with 4G LTE and HSPA+ support as well. In addition, most of the brand new applications and imaging enhancements that are present on the Lumia 1520 will also be available on the 1320. These same features will reportedly be made available on older Lumia devices, via a software update that will hit the waves in early 2014.

In terms of design, the 1320 features a black front panel which is encased in a polycarbonate body that arrives in one of four colors – those being orange, yellow, white or black. The gadget measures 164.25 x 85.9 x 9.79 mm and weighs a bit more than the 1520, for a total of 220 grams.

Any thoughts? Do you consider the $339 price-tag to be an attractive one, given the smartphone's specifications?
