T-Mobile is working on improving their funding for the $4 billion 4G LTE network, but in order to do so, T-Mobile is slashing 5% of their workforce and closing down 7 of their call centers. All this will take place within the next three months and T-Mobile seems desperate to make this work, as the company has already had a 1.7 million drop in customers last year, making their customer base lower as well as their call volume.
Cara Walker, a spokeswoman for T-Mobile, made this statement, This is an effort to optimize our operations. With the 5% cut in the workforce, this means that approximately 1,800 people will be losing their jobs over at T-Mobile.
