Nuevo a lleno Smartphone Uso

I joined years ago but did not have a smartphone so have not been logged on. My phone is NOT in your list for my profile: LG K20 Plus. I have used my phone just for calls and text messages but am otherwise a complete "newbie". I know everyone here is experienced but I don't know where and how to begin. I want to get Internet/wi-fi on my phone to do FACETIME (most important) and probably also What'sApp (I have wi-fi available at home on my ISP's router) and I also want to download Avast security (a good version of it even if I need to pay for it) before opening the phone up on wi-fi/Internet. Can someone kindly take the time - I know I'm asking a lot, more than I have the right to expect anyone's time and help - to help me get up and running and download what I need. Carrier is T-Mobile.
