    Hey guys,

    Newbie to the board. Hopefully many more posts to come.

    I got a question for you:
    I've got a Treo 600 on the unlimited data w/fido and my connection has been down for the last couple days. I've been in contact with fido reps these past couple days and they've told me that the GPRS internet.fido.ca connection has been down for the last two days and they are experiencing some problems and are doing some maintenance to the network and don't know when it will be up and running . Anyone else experience this problem or is it just me??? Thanks,

    Same here

    A week and a half ago, I purchased a Sony 910i on FIDO for just data useage. Worked for a day, then the network "went down" Same as you - phoned the support center and was told "yep, it's down, and nope, we don't know when it'll come back up" After 4 days I returned the phone as it was still in the trial period (thank god!)

    Having their network down for 4 days without resolution is ridiculous.

    Have you been on the data plan for a while? Have you experienced this problem before?

    Been on this Fido data plan for 4 months and was going great ever since. Never been down before. $50 CDN/unlimited data, I guess you can't beat the price, but I guess, as they always say, you get what you pay for. Been down for 4 days, been using the wap.fido.ca APN and has been up all this time. Just the internet.fido.ca APN was down. So switch my APN and everything is fine again.

    The GPRS for internet.fido.ca is up and running again. For those of you who have a data plan, I'd call Fido and tell them tha your GPRS was down and they could pro-rate your pricing for the month. I pay the $50/unlimited data plan and I told them I wanted my data pricing pro rated cause it was down for almost a week, well 5 days. It's only about $9 or so, but when your bills are well over $100,any amout of dough off helps......
