Did anyone notice the $5 increase on the Fido portion of their Sprint home service? It started in May-2005. Rogers (new Fido owner) explained that they added a service that allowed me to call home for free. I never asked for that feature as I rarely phone home on my cell. When I complained, they said they can simply change the terms of my contract and charge me more! My contract renews (ends) in November and if I don't like what they have done, then I can cancel now - for a fee (penalty). I asked that the service be restored to the original configuration and was told all Fido customers get the new configuration - no exceptions.

This smacks of something Rogers got in trouble for a few years ago through a "negative otion billing" scandal, only here they don't even give an option - they just start charging. My invoice in May had no information regarding the service change - just the increase.

I am now waiting fo a call back from a "supervisor". I will post the result.
