I'm a longtime Cingular (now att) customer eligible to upgrade my 8125 to a new phone. When I look at the list of phones
eligible for me to upgrade to the iphone isn't included. any idea why not?

    Thanks,
    Fred

Because it would be a major DOWNgrade? You've got one of the best pda
phones ever made--why would you even consider a smartphone? You're going
to loose 2/3 of the functions of the 8125 and gain what--thinness and
    gestures?

Same here. My sales rep say AT&T hopes to have them by Xmas. Their
schooling on it begins in October.

Because ATT offers no discounts or subsidies on the iPhone.

Wait for the 8925. If you're used to all the features of the 8125, you
might not be happy with the iPhone, which is much more limited in its
    feature set.
