16GB SDHC Class 6 cards CHEAP on Amazon!

I just ordered 32GB more memory cards for my Nokia N800 Linux tablet....
Transcend 16GB SDHC Class 6 SD 2.0 new card in the bubble pack with a
Transcend SD-to-USB ADAPTER!.....$39.95 each. Buy two to get order over
$50 and Amazon pays shipping ($6.17 to me).

This is the cheapest I've ever seen a brand-name 16GB Class 6 card, even
without the USB adapter.

Hell, even if you don't own a tablet, it makes a HUGE USB memory plug.

Just thought you boys would like to know.....no need to slam me and start
fighting.

More storage! MORE STORAGE!!....(c;

I wonder if my wife's BB 8100 would take one that big? She's got an 8G now.
I just saw a 32 GB Kingston USB Traveler memory stick on Buy.com. One
computer I use doesn't have that big a HD.

If it'll do 8GB, 16GB should work. My Nokia N800 supports 32GB SDHC cards,
but they are still too expensive (low manufacturing rate?) to be
affordable. I'll have 6 of the 16GB in the little N800's transport case
when these come in. Plenty of movies/music/TV/books for any trip...even if
it has no internet connections.

Our Best Buy store finally got a Linux-based Asus EE-PC little laptop in at
$299. It's an obsolete model, now. I was pleased to find out when I
popped one of my current 16GB SDHC Class 6 cards into its external memory
slot, it had no trouble reading anything on the card and its media player
had no trouble playing MP4, DivX, AVI, WMA or Real media movies. It also
played MP3, Realmedia, wma, wav but not FLAC audio files. FLAC has a Linux
codec so that's easy to play. I didn't find any OGG files to test on the
cards in my pocket case so I can't say what that would play. The built-in
pdf reader rendered the ebooks on my card quite nicely....all for $299. It
has an external XVGA video port like your desktops, 3 USB 2.0 ports, the SD
card slot, Mic and headset/speaker jacks and a full-blown Ethernet port so
you don't need to expose your stuff to wifi if you don't want to. I was a
little disappointed in the lack of Bluetooth so I could have tethered it to
my sellphone DUN and use it with the Bluetooth LAN with my N800 Linux
tablet. But, that's a helluva nice computer for $299! I assume it can be
had even cheaper on the net.

It was right next to the expensive Vista laptops, and one guy who was
watching me play with it asked what good it would be. "Well, it will play
movies", I said booting Rush Hour 3 in Divx off alt.binaries.movies.divx.
"You can watch and listen to almost any format there is.", I continued
booting Journey's new concert to let him hear the stereo....(c;

I had to get out of there. I don't need a 4th Linux box...no matter how
cute it is...(c;
