When I shop for sneakers, I try not to spend more than $59.99 on a
pair, and I try not to buy sneakers made in China.

And I ==> NEVER <== do both at the same time.

Lately I wait till the day after Thanksgiving and buy Avia sneakers @
    $19.99/pair at Sports Authority.

I bought new sneakers in 1989. Damned things were expensive,
considering the slave labor that made them.

Since then, I wear nothing but the best and have about 80 pairs in like-
new condition. I never paid more than $10, and those were new. It's
amazing. Some kid with big feet buys $100 sneakers from the mall, wears
them twice only to find out the herd has moved onto another style or
brand. So, his mom dumps them into the thrift shop donation bag with
the rest of my clothes and I end up paying the thrift shop $3.99 for
shoes the kid wore 5 times to visit his drug dealer or to the concert.
    Why pay more? That's crazy!

My favorites are either Sketcher's climbing shoes or Van's skateboard
shoes, which are very comfortable to kick around in.

Today, I'm wearing a Tommy Hilfiger shirt ($1.99), Levi jeans ($2.99),
Adidas socks and shoes ($4 for both) and when I go out riding the
motorcycle I'll wear either my custom leather jacket ($6 last summer) or
my First Down goose down windproof nylon jacket ($10, it was new when I
    got it last spring).

I went visiting friends on Saturday wearing an Underarmor micro-fiber
golf shirt. My friends told me it would have cost a lot of money in the
mall. I paid $4 for it because I love the feel of soft microfiber
instead of crappy cheap cotton..... They looked a bit shocked when they
saw me. My "normal uniform" is a pocket T-shirt, from some pocket logo
    or not. I'm a real clothes rack....(c;]

I guess that's why I have money in my pocket....besides the day trading
    on the market...(c;]

Oil is crashing again....(((((((c;] $50/bbl is within reach!

Want me to send his webpage to the bad guys? They have a university
mainframe with some seriously wide pipes that download thousands of
webpages per second during idle times....from spammers we love.
