Can anyone tell me how to turn on and off the cell info information on
screen? That's the location that comes up on the screen that tells you which
network cell you're in?!
TIA

Should you spam this group with question which is covered in manual?

Thanks for your reply - I've done that previously and it doesn't work.

I am not sure about the Z600, but I know on the T610/616, it cannnot be
turned off. I would assume it can't be on the Z600 either since it has
basically the same internals. Also, so you feel better about the rudeness of
T68i, it is not covered in the manual <wink>. If I can ever get some time I
am going to play with some firware and see if I can't make one to disable
it.

This is going from a T610 menu, but I've done it for a friends z600, and
it was pretty much the same.
On:
Messaging, Area Info, Reception, On.
Messagin, Area Info, Message List, New Code, 050
Off:
Messaging, Area Info, Reception, Off.
Messagin, Area Info, Message List, Select the 050 entry, Delete. Yes.
Also, Did you get your CSS20 data working in the end?

Previous post is slightly incorrect (but might still work).

Re: Z600/610
I have noticed on mine a couple times that there was no cell ID, driving
between suburbs it changed over no problems, I turned mine off though, I
reckon it only kills the battery faster.
