Strange looking lines on screen

My Sony Ericsson T616 suddenly has a big (well, 1/4" x 1/2") bright
yellow splotch on the inside of the display, and about a dozen thin
horizontal lines across the display. They are there all the time. Is
there a hard reset that is different from a Master reset? Should I
send it back?
