SE Z1010 IR software

Hi.

Does anyone know what software that works with the Z1010 IR port??

In many cases (especially on laptops), you should not need any additional
software to transfer files etc via the IR port, you may just need the
correct drivers for your port and to have it enabled. What exactly are you
trying to do via the IR?

Im just testing to download files to and from my phone, usaly i have a USB
cable to do that, but wanted to try the IR. The software that i got with the
phone says it can do that via IR but it dosen´t work for me. Probably as you
say it is the drivers to my IR port that is incorrectly installed.

Is there any indication on the computer that it can "see" the Z1010? Is the
file transfer starting at all?

Well, thats the problem, it dosn´t find the phone at all.
So i can´t transfer any file to or from my Z1010. But i´m going to test
another IR port on that is USB conected istead of the COM1 i´ve used now.

I´ve searched for diftrent software bout none of them has worked.

I assume you have enabled IR on the Z1010..............

Yes, i´ve checked that the IR port on the Z1010 is enabled, but still no
response from the phone or the computer

Do you have a friend with mobile that has IR? You could use this to check
the port on the phone is functioning correctly....
