I am trying to sync my p910 with outlook calendar but it does not work! All
others sync just fine, contacts, tasks, notes and email. When trying to sync
calendar it just sets there even for hours over night saying "
Initialising"!! I remember fixing this last year when I got the phone but I
just got a new laptop and I can't figure it out. Please if someone knows of
a fix let me know. Thanks..

You have set it as the default calendar etc and clicked yes on the
dialogue that asks if other progs are allowed to access outlook? That
sometimes hides behind all the other windows so you don't notice it till
you shut down.

I had this problem when the outlook file got too big with multiple entries
for holidays etc
Have you cheked recurring holidays and the actual filesize?
Have you done the initial full sync as you need that as well.

Re: P910 and calender sync! Please elp if you know a fix
Hmmmmmm
Could be a corrupt PST file then, there are freee tools from MS to fix them.
or check the recurring appointments view in Outlook as it took me awhile to
relaise there was stuff in there from 1901 thru to 2500 or so !
Other than that I'm not sure as that is what cured my sync issue, sorry :-(

Hello!
We can suggest to have a look at Oxygen Phone Manager II for Symbian OS and
Windows Mobile OS phones ( http://www.opm-2.com/symbian/ ). Using our
software you can export SonyEricsson P910i calendar and To-Do list entries
to MS Outlook even with free trial version (works with phone's calendar in
'Read-only' mode in trial). Full version of Oxygen Phone Manager II for
Symbian OS phones supports bi-directional calendar management.
If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
Best regards, Maxim Vyalkov

Re: P910 and calender sync! Please elp if you know a fix
Maxim,
with all due respect... but I tested Oxygen, it looks a very promising work, but
it is *not* a perfect solution yet on the calendar front (that is why I have
decided to stick with the trial version for now).
The problem is that when reading the calendar from the SE, repeated all day
events, for example, are not read in as such, ie, information is lost.
Furthermore, when the data is dumped, eg, into XML, then even more information
is lost in my experience.
Do not take me wrong: I think Oxygen would be a good alternative eventually (and
as a non-outlook user, it would be great to have!), but it is not yet there...
Ivan

Hello!

We haven't located this problem in the most latest version 2.7.7.7. All
all-day events are being read 'as-is' including all data. Would you be more
specific about missing data? What fields aren't displayed in Oxygen Phone
Manager II for Symbian OS phones? Thank you in advance for cooperation!
PS: you can download the most latest trial version here:
http://oxygensoftware.com/en/downloa...p?ProductID=59 . Official
product page: http://www.opm-2.com/symbian/ . Latest 'whatsnew' file is
available here: http://opm-2.com/symbian/whatsnew.txt
